After an ACL surgery, you are at greater risk of tearing your ACL again.
If you have torn your ACL once, research shows that you have a higher chance of tearing it again. This is true for people who have had surgery to repair their ACL, as well as for people on the non-surgical side. What this means is that prevention becomes incredibly important. All of the things you are doing for strengthening, balance, coordination and especially sport and activity-specific drills like running, pivoting, cutting, or changing direction become absolutely crucial in order to prevent another ACL tear.
